Final Measurement Day

Today was the day.

The last day of the Biggest Mooser. We went to the radio station and got measurements taken and had the winner announced.

It was very exciting but very sad at the same time, like I said on the radio, kind of like high school graduation, you aren't sure why you are sad, but you are. You are still going to see the same faces, and will still cherish the time together, but perhaps its a little different now.

The Moosers won't be working out together anymore, but they will be coming to bootcamp in the class times that they can fit into their schedules. Lisa is going to help me with the Metabolism Makeover by coming in and telling her story of her success and helping others who have questions or felt stuck.

Erica will be helping me teach bootcamp classes. She has a knack for it and I can see her really taking the reins with this venture.

Christine will be preparing for her new addition to her family, and will be counting down the days until she can get back at it with workouts and nutrition

Tonia will get to workout again with her original workout partner Gabby, which makes Gabby very happy:). Tonia is a new person and will become an advocate for paying attention to your nutrition.

Missy will continue on her venture in bootcamp as she pushes forward to her wedding at the end of the summer. She is determined to succeed, and will with that attitude.

They were all successful, but perhaps I was the most successful. I had the honor of working with these five day in day out for 16 weeks. Six days a week for 16 weeks is a long time and plenty to get to know someone.

We will get together and plan outings, go out to dinner, rock climbing, hiking, and many others. Maybe there is another road race in the future:)

As we go our perverbial seperate ways, this isn't good bye, but good luck, I know you now have the tools to succeed, and hope you are able to share it with others who are in pain and anguish, just like you were when you started this journey. The only way we can help so many people that are struggling and unhappy is if we share our knowledge and shed some light in the right direction. Whether you like it or not you five are now leaders in this front.

I'm overwhelmingly proud of your accomplishments and more proud of how many people you have touched on this journey.

I promised I would post the totals for all five contestants, here they are:

Total Pounds Lost: 188

Total Percentage of Fat Lost: 40.8%

Total Inches Lost: 52.50 inches

If you are reading this and are struggling without knowing which direction to turn, know that you can turn to one of the MOOsers and to me for help. We will be having another Biggest MOOser contest in January, but don't wait until then, take action now. Little steps first but keep moving forward and build upon those small steps. You can accomplish ANYTHING if you put your mind to it.

Every 2 for 20

Due to the weather, we couldn't run outside but that didn't deter us from getting some serious work in.

First intervals: 1 minute high intensity 1 minute rest, 1 minute active rest (get up sit ups) x 6 rounds

Burpees
Bike
Firehose Slams (for old time sake:)

Then we did this:

Every 2 minutes for 20 minutes start a new round. Your goal is to get through the exercises as quickly as you can so you have more rest. When the timer beeps start a new round. Whatever time you have left over after completing each round will be your rest

Jump Squats x 10
Snatches 5L/5R
Push press 5L/5R
Kettlebell Swings x 10

Go for twenty minutes or ten rounds.
